May 09, 2025 (newstodate): With an increase in April in cargo volumes by 9.3 percent, y-o-y, Finland's Helsinki Airport is slowly moving towards regaining growth in 2025.
   In April 2025, a total of 15,890 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport that opened 2025 with monthly drops in volumes by 8.2 and 0.2 percent in January and February, respectively.
   In April, international shipments were 15,858 tonnes including cargo, up 9.9 percent, y-o-y, to 15,675 tonnes, while international mail volumes at only 183 tonnes were up 3.5 percent.
   Helsinki Airport thus handled a total of 58,859 tonnes of cargo in January-April 2025, an increase by a mere one percent, y-o-y.
