Mar 15, 2024 (newstodate): Singapore's SATS Group, the leading provider of aviation services in Asia, is deepening its cargo handling capability in Scandinavia with new acquisitions in Sweden.
   Through WFS Sweden, its fully-owned subsidiary since April 3, 2023, the Group has today announced the proposed acquisition of TT, Terminal & Transporttjanst, and APH Logistics AB to strengthen its presence in the Stockholm market and its specialized cargo handling capability, as well as adding new capacity for growth.
   Managed by Kim Elfstrom as Mng Dir, the customer portfolio of TT Terminal & Transporttjanst at Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda today includes online airlines Finnair, Singapore Airlines and Royal Jordanian as well as offline airlines such as Cargolux and Air Canada, adding the handling of DHL Aviation's import and exports shipments from September 1, 2023.
   Opening in May 2010, APH Logistics AB, also managed by Kim Elfstrom, is the appointed Border Inspection Point at Stockholm Arlanda Airport specializing in cold chain logistics and delicate handling.
   In Scandinavia, WFS launched cargo handling operations in Denmark at Copenhagen Airport in Spring 2006, adding Swedish operations at Stockholm Arlanda Airport from June 1, 2012.
   As the only footprint in Norway, WFS signed an MoU with Avinor in August 2018 to become the future operator of a planned Avinor Seafood Terminal at Oslo Airport - a project soon shelved, and the MoU was terminated in May 2019.
