Mar 14, 2024 (newstodate): Finavia continues to report positive growth in cargo handled at Helsinki Airport in 2024.
   In February, the airport thus handled a total of 13,640 tones of cargo, an increase by 7.4 percent, y-o-y.
   Growth was generated by international cargo that increased by 7.7 percent to 13,505 tonnes.
   The growth in February brought total volumes handled so far into 2024 to 28,064 tonnes, up 9.9 percent, y-o-y.
   Boding well for a continued increase in cargo from the coming summer schedule is news that Japan Airlines will go up from currently three to five weekly rotations between Tokyo Haneda Airport and Helsinki Airport, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
