Mar 06, 2024 (newstodate): Nordic Aviation Capital is continuing its strategy to divest of out-of-production Bombardier Q400 and Embraer E1 aircraft.
Ending 2023 with a fleet comprising 101 Embraer aircraft of various types, NAC has now sold off a batch of 24 Embraer E1 aircraft, including four E170 and 20 E190 aircraft to regional aircraft lessor Falko Regional Aircraft Limited.
NAC will instead focus on best-in-class, more fuel-efficient regional aircraft like the ATR 72 and A220 families, as well as expanding into the much larger adjacent market of the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families.
By the end of 2023, NAC holds orders for 16 ATR and 20 Airbus A220 aircraft, while eight Airbus A320/A321 and five Boeing 737 MAX are already in the fleet.
