Mar 08, 2024 (newstodate): Like in previous years, Lufthansa Group will call in external capacity during the summer peak season 2024.
   Among the airlines to provide capacity on wet-lease contracts will be airBaltic, in 2022/23 operating five Airbus A220-300 aircraft on the network of Eurowings as well as six Airbus A220-300 aircraft on a wet-lease agreement with Swiss covering the winter 2022/23 schedule and extended to comprise the summer '23 summer schedule also.
   The volume of wet-lease contracts with Lufthansa Group airlines in the coming summer 2024 schedule is however not known at this stage.  
   -The Latvian airline airBaltic confirms that it will wet-lease its aircraft to Lufthansa for the 2024 summer season. Currently, we cannot disclose the exact number of airBaltic's A220-300 aircraft that will be operating for the airline, says airBaltic Corporate Communication Unit.
