Mar 01, 2024 (newstodate): The role of cargo at Finland's Tampere-Pirkkala Airport will be boosted by the opening of a new logistics center.
Behind the plans is the German transport company Dachser that is to launch operations in Q1, 2025 - earlier slated for summer 2024 already - with a new 5,000 m2 facility for handling of general cargo at the airport.
Driving the process is the logistics property developer Logicenters.
The coming Dachser logistics hub - Dachser’s second logistics center in Finland -now under construction will also have ample space for future expansion with another terminal up to 20,000 m2.
Dachser Air & Sea Logistics was established in Finland in 2014 with offices in Helsinki, Lahti, Oulu, and Tampere.
In Scandinavia, Dachser entered the Danish market in 2018 with offices in Copenhagen and Kolding, adding the Swedish market in May 2019 and now located with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo, Jonkoping and Orebro.
