Mar 20, 2024 (newstodate): The Israeli war on Hamas is stressful to humans - and to animals.
Now Icelandair's Boeing 767 freighter has lifted 12 Icelandic horses and 69 Palestinian dogs from the West Bank to the USA through New York JFK Airport in the last few days, reported by New York Times.
Upon arrival at the airport, the dogs collected at a private shelter in Nablus caring for abandoned animals were handled by ARK, a company certified to providing pre- and post-travel animal care and veterinary services for pets, horses, birds, non-domesticated mammals and exotic animals.
After a quarantine period, both the dogs and the horses have since been distributed to new owners around the USA.
