Mar 12, 2024 (newstodate): Already a giant in the world of global logistics, Denmark's DSV is widely rumored to emerge as the future owner of DB Schenker.
DSV has thus signed an agreement with the French BNP Paribas and the British-Chinese credit institution HSBC to develop an offer for the acquisition of DB Schenker that was put up for sale in December 2023, primarily to cover for debts in the company's rail cargo sector.
Other potential buyers have been sniffing at DB Schenker, but after DHL pulled out, sources expect DSV to be now poised as the most credible buyer.
Today, DSV operates logistics services and transportation by all modes across more than 80 countries around the world with 1,600 offices and logistics facilities staffed by more than 75,000 people.
