Mar 11, 2024 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport is now seeing a sustained growth in cargo volumes returning in 2024.
In February, the airport handled a total of 24,855 tonnes of cargo, legacy and integrator carriers combined, corresponding to an increase by 24 percent, y-o-y.
Legacy carriers alone accounted for 17,711 tonnes in February '24, which was up 36.4 percent, y-o-y.
The legacy carriers' growth in Feb '24 reflected a steep increase in belly cargo on pax flights, totaling 9,660 tonnes which was up by 60 percent due to the return of passenger flight operations at Copenhagen Airport, while trucked legacy cargo volumes also increased by 17.7 percent, y-o-y, to 7,342 tonnes.
In the first two months of this year, Copenhagen Airport is thus up by 20.4 percent, y-o-y, to 24,855 tonnes, of which 35,092 tonnes were carried by legacy airlines - an increase by 32 percent, y-o-y..
