Mar 21, 2024 (newstodate): Starting from February 1, 2024, the UK-based global aviation services group Air Partner is active with own office in the Nordic region.
In this region, Air Partner is represented by Kim Borgaard as Air Partner Head of Business Development Nordics after serving close to 13 years with Chapman Freeborn, last in the position as Nordic Sales Manager since 2011.
-With more than 60 years in the industry, Air Partner sees a huge potential in the Nordic region where we have always played some role, says Pierre van der Stichele, Air Partner VP Global Cargo.
-At the moment, business is rather quiet in different parts of the world because of the war situation, a general economic downturn, and various other factors.
-This will pick up eventually, so we decided to invest in Kim Borgaard for different reasons: he is widely respected in the aviation industry in the Nordics, and clients like him a lot!
-Without having the local touch, it will always be difficult to give credibility to our customers, so we decided to basically rebuild our Nordic division. Our first representative will be Kim Borgaard, and we will then see over time how the market develops. Our ambition is to become a leader in the Nordic region for cargo business, on-board courier services as well as group passenger charters.
-We start out from Denmark but are of course looking towards the Norwegian oil and gas industries as well as Sweden's high standing in the automotive industry. Besides, we are also to go for governmental and humanitarian business opportunities.
-Our new Nordic office will be supported by the UK internal organization, and sales efforts have already lifted off, with ongoing negations with two major potential clients in Denmark boding well for a promising development, says Mr van der Stichele.
