Feb 28, 2024 (newstodate): The Ukrainian cargo airline Supernova set up by Nova Poshta has now provided further details of ambitions to launch long haul cargo flights.
The company is thus airing interest in adding wide-body freighters of the type Boeing 767 or Airbus A330 to launch cargo flights on routes including Guangzhou-Warsaw, Toronto-Warsaw, Hong Kong-Warsaw, Hong Kong-Sydney, New York-Liege, and Chicago-Liege.
Before the Russian war on Ukraine, Nova Poshta had already signed an agreement for lease of a Boeing 757 converted freighter to bring Chinese e-trade commodities to Ukraine for onward distribution in Ukraine and other markets, enhancing Nova Poshta's control of its logistics, but this was cancelled by the lessor citing war risks and insurance issues.
