Feb 09, 2024 (newstodate): Unplanned aircraft maintenance remains marring Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of four Airbus A321F converted freighter aircraft.
Two of the aircraft thus remain on the ground due to delayed provision of spares caused by snags in the supply chain.
In January, fuselage cracks as well as certain other issues were detected on the two aircraft, leaving only two Airbus A321F aircraft in service on the European short-haul freighter network, ideally comprising 18 destinations.
In the latest update covering operations during the coming summer schedule and starting from March 28, 2024, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki and Stavanger are still on the monitor.
The company is thus planning for one weekly flight on the route from Frankfurt to Stavanger, continuing to Copenhagen and returning to Frankfurt.
Another routing to be operated three times weekly departs from Frankfurt to Stockholm Arlanda, continuing to Helsinki and returning to Frankfurt.
Summing up, Copenhagen and Stavanger will thus see Lufthansa Cargo's A3221F once weekly, while Stockholm and Helsinki will be served three times per week in Summer '24.
Copenhagen Airport saw the first A321F flight from Frankfurt on September 28, 2023, and later also a second flight coming in from Helsinki on September 28, 2023, continuing to Frankfurt.
And starting from November 3, 2023, Lufthansa Cargo's Airbus A321F operated a route from Frankfurt to Helsinki, continuing to Stockholm and returning to Frankfurt, also with one weekly rotation.
