Feb 26, 2024 (newstodate): The Norwegian long-haul carrier Norse Atlantic Airways has landed an ACMI contract with the Nigerian carrier Air Peace.
Under the contract, Norse will be operating flights for Air Peace between London and Lagos, Nigeria, with four weekly rotations using Norse's Boeing 787 aircraft.
Flights on the route will commence from April 2024, initially for a two months period, with provision for extension.
The cooperation between the two parties facilitates Air Peace's European entry, and secures employment for Norse's fleet of 15 Boeing 787 aircraft in the wet-lease and ACMI market, relieving the carrier of its excess capacity.
Along the same lines, Norse has also confirmed the extension by another year of the lease of three Boeing 787-8 aircraft to Air Europe, with redeliveries now slated to March-May 2025 rather than by March-May this year as earlier planned.
