Feb 22, 2024 (newstodate): Avinor's recent posting on LinkedIn now allows for a clearer picture of the structure of Norway's international air cargo in 2023.
Combined, Avinor's 42 airports last year generated 169,344 tonnes of flown international cargo, with Oslo Airport alone accounting for 158,742 tonnes, or 94 percent of the total volume.
However, Avinor's monthly cargo statistics include only flown cargo volumes, excluding trucked cargo on AWBs but heading for uplift from continental airports such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam and London Heathrow
According to Avinor, the country's seafood air cargo alone reached 291,410 tonnes, flown and trucked shipments combined, which would imply that the country's flown seafood air cargo has now grown to 58 percent while 42 percent is trucked out of the country.
*Disclaimer: Avinor's statistics do not split import and export cargo volumes. Once this information is obtained, the story will be revised accordingly.
