Feb 12, 2024 (newstodate): The Norwegian long-haul LCC Norse Atlantic Airways is reaping benefits from its aircraft lease activity.
In the fleet of the carrier are 15 Boeing 787 aircraft, four of which have been placed on long-term lease contract with Air Europe.
The carrier has now announced that the lease of three Boeing 787-8 aircraft has been extended by another year, with redeliveries slated to March-May 2025 rather than by March-May this year.
The fourth aircraft, a Boeing 787-9, on lease contract will also remain on lease till May 2024, two months later than originally planned.
Norse Atlantic thus expects to be operating 12 Boeing 787 aircraft in the coming summer schedule, the carrier says.
Founded in February 2021, Norse Atlantic Airways performed its inaugural flight on June 14, 2022, and destinations include New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Jamaica, Barbados, Bangkok, Miami, Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome and Paris.
