Feb 23, 2024 (newstodate): Oslo Airport City has landed a new customer, joining the seafood cluster: Grieg Seafood.
Among the world’s largest salmon farming companies, Grieg Seafood plans to establish a 25,000 m2 processing factory in Oslo Airport City, close to the airport, designed for an annual salmon processing capacity of 10,000–12,000 tonnes, with an option of increasing capacity to 20,000 tonnes at a later stage.
Processing of salmon from the company's production sites in Rogaland and Finnmark will start already by S'25.
The coming new production plant is neighboring the 55,000 m2 World Seafood Center, the 5,500 m2 Cool Hotel, and GF-Logistikk's new 6,000 m2 transport center currently under construction.
