Feb 23, 2024 (newstodate): Established as a VIP passenger charter carrier with fancy stewardesses, Lithuania's KlasJet is now pinning much importance to the ACMI market.
With short notice, a new contract has been landed with Air Serbia for one Boeing more Boeing 737-800 aircraft to fill part of the capacity void left after the abrogation of the contract with the Greek carrier Marathon due to the E190 incident at Belgrade earlier this week.
Air Serbia is already an ACMI customer for KlasJet that landed its first wet-lease contract with the carrier in June 2023 for two Boeing 737-800 aircraft, in service during the ongoing winter schedule.
Member of the Avia Solutions Group and operating a fleet comprising five Boeing 737 Classic, one BBJ Boeing 737 as well as eight Boeing 737-800, KlasJet's customer portfolio currently also comprises contacts with the French carrier Air Austral, Congo Airways, the Egyptian LCC FlyEgypt, and US-Bangla Airlines.
