Feb 08, 2024 (newstodate): Finavia reports a positive start to 2024 in cargo volumes at Helsinki Airport.
   A total of 14,301 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled in January 2024, an increase by 12.4 percent, y-o-y.
   International cargo accounted for 14,113 tonnes with was an increase by 13.3 percent, y-o-y; international mail volumes were down 22.3 percent, y-o-y, to a mere 187 tonnes, and domestic cargo played an insignificant role with only 134 tonnes.
   In 2023, January was an exceptionally bad start in cargo at Helsinki Airport that saw volumes down by 26.5 percent, y-o-y, to only 12,839 tonnes of cargo and mail.
