Feb 28, 2024 (newstodate): The EU Commission is increasingly suspicious about the condition of at least some of the Egyptian aircraft and airlines operating into the EU.
In 2023, inspections by EASA at airports in EU countries reported a noticeable deterioration in the performance of some Egyptian operators.
As a result, EC representatives will call a technical meeting with the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority in this year's Q1 to assess the situation.
So far, Egyptian airlines have not been included in the EU air safety black list, but AlMasria Universal Airline had had its TCO certificate suspended twice in two years.
