Feb 21, 2024 (newstodate): The Danish family-owned carrier DAT, Danish Air Transport is behind a new aviation recruitment company in Cyprus, Nordic Crew Supply.
Managed by Kristian Hvass, formerly DAT Accountable Manager, Nordic Crew Supply is currently seeking applicants for a number of cockpit and cabin crew positions with DAT on both ATR and Airbus A320 aircraft.
The successful candidates will thus work for DAT during the upcoming summer '24 season, employed not by the carrier, but by the Cypriot company as self-employed contractors.
DAT is soon to expand its fleet, currently comprising six Airbus A320, one Airbus A321 as well as 15 ATR aircraft, with three more aircraft including one ATR 42, one ATR 72 and one Airbus A320 aircraft.
Earlier this year, DAT obtained a Foreign Air Operator Certificate, FAOC, from the Canadian CAA allowing it to operate to, from and through Canadian airspace.
With the FAOC, DAT is now able to operate its Airbus A320/A321 capacity from Canadian bases on ad-hoc charters as well as on ACMI contracts for flights from and within Canada.
While no concrete contracts have yet been announced, DAT hints at operating flights between Canada and primarily Caribbean destinations from winter 2024/25.
