Jan 19, 2024 (newstodate): The privately-owned Ukrainian postal company Nova Post is determined to develop connections with other European markets.
One strategy is to enter the EU markets to keep Ukrainians abroad in touch with their families and provide them with reliable and convenient delivery services.
The company has consolidated its foreign branches under the Nova Post brand, and by August 2023, 59 Nova Post branches were already operating across Europe.
Now, the company has put the Nordic markets on its agenda as well, including Denmark on the list of new markets to be opened in 2024.
newstodate has contacted Nova Post for more information about this plan that seems, however, still to be in the initial phase.
-For now, we have no stated date for the opening in Denmark or any other Nordic country, unfortunately, reads the answer from Olha Baburina, Nova Post Global communications.
-We had it in the plans for 2024, but it is not confirmed yet.
In 2023, Nova Post established its own cargo carrier Supernova that obtained its AOC on January 6, 2023, as the first Ukrainian carrier in wartime.
Currently operating two AN-26 cargo aircraft with limited range, the airline is in the process of acquiring one Boeing 757-200F to provide capacity on longer routes, where the company is today relying solely on cooperation with other airlines.
Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Nova Poshta was already planning for acquisition of two Boeing 757-200F aircraft to bring in Chinese e-trade commodities to Ukraine for onward distribution in Ukraine and other markets, enhancing Nova Poshta's control of its logistics.
