Jan 11, 2024 (newstodate): Russian airlines are increasingly feeling the impact from sanctions imposed on its western-built aircraft.
   In 2023, Russian airlines recorded more than 400 incidents related to power plants and aircraft equipment, according to Russian mass media.   
   In the last five weeks, Aeroflot alone has experienced the breakdown of eight aircraft due to malfunctions.
   In 30 percent of the incidents reported by the airlines, problems were related to the engines, and in 25 percent of the cases incidents related to issues with the airframe, while brakes, air conditioning systems, windshields, and flaps also contributed to the statistics.
