Jan 22, 2024 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's leading carrier Air Astana is growing its aircraft fleet and plans for IPO.
With the delivery of one Airbus A321neo on January 20, 2024, the airline's fleet now comprises 50 aircraft, and plans are to grow further to 80 aircraft over the coming five years.
At the same time, Air Astana has announced its intentions to aim at an IPO focusing on entering the stock exchanges in London and Kazakhstan, raising fresh capital for its ongoing expansion.
Air Astana, launched in September 2001, is a joint venture owned 51 percent by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 49 percent by BAE Systems Customer Solutions & Support.
