Jan 08, 2024 (newstodate): Esbjerg Airport in south-western Denmark, has become a new destination on the network of the time-critical logistics provider time:matters.
After nearly 20 years of service at Billund Airport, time:matters has moved its service from Billund Airport to Esbjerg Airport.
Starting from January 2, 2024, the company is now offering four in-night flights on the route from Karlsruhe to its Scandinavian hub at Jonkoping in Sweden, continuing to Esbjerg and returning directly to Karsruhe.
The flights are operated by the Estonian cargo carrier Airest using SAAB 340A freighter aircraft.
-The route is fully developed after years of service to Billund Airport, bolstered also by the cooperation established in 2007 between time:matters and the Nordic in-night logistics company JetPak that has its HQ at Kolding, near the airport, says Clement Marquis, Esbjerg Airport Route Development Manager.
-Moving to Esbjerg Airport adds new potentials for synergies with Esbjerg Harbor that plays a key role in the off-shore industry and benefits from the fully developed infrastructure at and around Esbjerg Airport.
-The new scheduled and frequent nightly air cargo movements by time:matters is expected to draw further attention to the potentials for air cargo services at Esbjerg Airport, and we are actually already in talks with other operators eyeing the potentials in serving the growing wind turbine and other off-shore industries as well as the needs among the automotive and medico companies, says Mr Marquis.
