Jan 19, 2024 (newstodate): New at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport in summer 2024 will be the Greek carrier Aegean Airlines.
   Latest news confirm that Aegean Airlines will launch flights on the route between Athens and Vilnius from April 18, 2024, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320neo aircraft.
   However, this is indeed not the first time Lithuania has been on the agenda of Aegean Airlines; already in 2016 plans were to open flights to Vilnius - which were however not realized - and another effort was made the following year for launch of flights on the route from summer 2018 - with similar negative results.
