Bolstered by investments from the US-led Gazelle Finance, Camex Airlines applied for its AOC with the Georgian regulator in December 2021 and now has the status as a licensed commercial carrier.
In summer 2023, Camex Airlines set up a subsidiary in Slovenia, Camex Adria Airlines to build and attract new business and investors in the EU market.
Based at Maribor Airport, Camex Adria Airlines took delivery of its first freighter on a lease contract with the Icelandic aircraft lessor Icelease, a Boeing 737-800 converted aircraft that became the first of its type in Slovenia.
