Jan 02, 2024 (newstodate): The handling ground handling company Aviator Airport Services has secured the extension of its contract with Air Serbia in Sweden.
Signing their first contract in 2015, the two parties have thus inked another three-years extension till December 2026 of the handling contract comprising ground handling, including de-icing services, for some 25 flights per month at Stockholm Arlanda and another 13 flights per month during the summer schedule at Gothenburg Airport.
Air Serbia is, however, currently decreasing its services to Scandinavia.
Among routes to be at least temporarily suspended are flights between Belgrade and Gothenburg, opened seasonally only with the first rotation on May 18, 2023, and offering three weekly rotations on the route that was even announced to go steady all through the winter schedule as well.
The last flight on the route will now be performed on January 14, 2024, while flights are so far slated to resume from March 31.
Flights from Belgrade to Copenhagen will decrease from six to five rotations in January and February, and from seven to five in March '24 that will also see Stockholm-flights down from seven to six weekly rotations.
