Jan 15, 2024 (newstodate): Latvia's airBaltic and the Swiss carrier SWISS have inked a new code-share agreement.
Under the agreement taking effect from January 31, 2024, SWISS will add its code to flights on airBaltic's route connecting Riga and Zurich in combination with a connecting flight before or after this flight.
airBaltic thus expects to see more SWISS passengers flying into Zurich from destinations in North and South America, Asia, and Africa continuing on airBaltic's route as well as the other way round.
SWISS first launched flights to Riga Airport from March 31, 2015, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A319/A320 aircraft.
