Jan 30, 2024 (newstodate): The Ukrainian carrier SkyUp Airlines exited 2023 with a firm record of progress and development.
In 2023, the carrier operated 10,528 flights to 53 countries on 664 routes, transported over 1.5 million passengers, and maintained a team of 1,139 employees, corresponding to an increase by 36 percent in flights and a 24 percent increase in passengers volume.
Under ACMI contracts, SkyUp cooperated with Tunisair, FlyOne, HiSky SRL, HiSky Europe SRL, Wizz Air Malta, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Corendon Dutch, Tailwind Airlines, and FlyEgypt.
2023 also included significant milestones by obtaining an operator's certificate, a CAMO, and an AOL for SkyUp MT, opening new opportunities for the airline to execute contracts under ACMI conditions and launch future regular flights from Europe.
SkyUp Airlines also obtained a foreign air carrier certificate FAR129 from the US FAA.
Additionally, the airline can now offer ACMI services and charter flights from other countries to Canada, thanks to the FAOC foreign carrier certificate.
