Sep 27, 2023 (newstodate): While Thai Airways has long since resumed post-Covid services to Denmark and Sweden, the carrier remains offline in the Norwegian market.
The carrier actually obtained slots for three weekly operations at Oslo Airport in winter '23, but retreated from its plans, handing back the slots.
Now signs are indicating that plans for the airline to resume flight between Bangkok and Oslo are indeed still on the agenda.
According to Bangkok Post reporting on September 27, 2023, Thai Airways is preparing for the launch of flights from Bangkok to Istanbul in December 2023.
-And after that, Thai will launch new flights to Oslo, Milan, Sydney and Perth, Thai Airways CEO Chai Eamsiri says in an interview with the media.
Thai Airways first launched flights from Bangkok to Oslo on June 15, 2009, offering five weekly flights that are also of great importance to Norway's seafood exporters.
