During the first eight months of this year, the airport has thus seen total cargo volumes down by 24 percent, y-o-y, to 5,660 tonnes.
Imports now account for 51.5 percent of the total volume handled, while exports constitute 48.5 percent.
Until early 2022, Tallinn Airport had been building up a position in the Asia/Europe/US e-freight business - which suffered greatly by the Russian invasion of Ukraine leading to the current closure of airspace and a general economic downturn.
