Sep 05, 2023 (newstodate): Air China and Rolls-Royce have decided to establish a JV in Beijing to overhaul aircraft engines.
   The new Beijing Aero Engine Services Company Limited is set up on a 50/50 basis to provide maintenance services for Rolls-Royce Trent 700, Trent XWB-84 and Trent 1000 aero engines to local and international air carriers.
   Located next to Beijing Capital International Airport, plans are for Beijing Aero Engine Services Company to launch commercial services in 2025, with an annual capacity of maintaining some 250 power plants.
   According to Rolls-Royce, the company provides engines powering over half of China's wide-body aircraft fleet.
