Sep 06, 2023 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways is continuing the expansion of its aircraft fleet in 2023.
   On August 29, 2023, the carrier took delivery of its 20th Airbus A320 aircraft, placed on a leasing contract with the Chinese lessor CALC, China Aircraft Leasing Company.
   This was also the first contract by CALC in Central Asia, indicating new potentials in the region, compensating for the decline in the Russian market.
   The latest A320neo delivery was the third in a series of five in 2023, leaving two more aircraft to join the fleet of Uzbekistan Airways before the end of this year.
