Sep 20, 2023 (newstodate): The EU-based aviation components and materials supply organization Heston MRO Europe is now rebranding as Heston Materials.
Based at Kaunas Airport, Heston MRO Europe was established in September 2021, starting out with Components Support and Asset Management services to airlines and asset owners, planning to operate local European warehouses and with AOG support and logistics teams located next to its European customers and suppliers.
Heston MRO Europe has since developed into a mid-size independent components and materials supplier, substantially outpacing the growth of recovering post-Covid aviation markets.
The company has established a strong market presence with the components and materials supply, exchanges, repair management programs, aircraft tear-downs, asset management, and other adjacent solutions.
-Under the new Heston Materials brand, we will accelerate our growth and global reach through new investments, capabilities, team, and global reach. Our eventual goal is to establish Heston Materials strongly among the top 10 most trusted aviation components and materials providers globally, says Kestutis Volungevicius, Heston Materials CEO.
The mother company Heston first began operations in 1992 as Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia, providing line maintenance to international carriers flying into Australia.
In 2007, AMSA became part of Singapore Airlines Engineering, before the latter divested its ownership in 2018.
The company was then rebranded to become Heston MRO in early 2019, after being bought over by Heston Aviation in December 2018.
