Sep 28, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian ACMI and charter operator SmartLynx is again expanding its aircraft fleet.
   This week, the airline took delivery of another Boeing 737 MAX 8 on a lease contract with the Irish lessor CDB Aviation, marking the 10th unit of this type in the fleet.
   SmartLynx received its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on May 31, 2022, and is advancing on its plans to build the fleet further.
   In the fleet of SmartLynx and SmartLynx Malta are now 62 aircraft, making the carrier the largest in the Baltic region.
