Sep 05, 2023 (newstodate): Emirates has now rounded its first 10 years of services in the Swedish market.
The carrier performed its first daily flight between Dubai and Stockholm Airport on September 4, 2014, using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft offering 238 tonnes of weekly lower-deck capacity in the market.
Since the start, Emirates has transported close to two million travelers and almost 115,000 tons of cargo between the two points.
Emirates is handled by Menzies under a contract that was last extended for another five years early in 2021 and comprising the airline's operations at all three Scandinavian capital airports.
Emirates launched its first flights to Scandinavia with a route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011, adding flights to Stockholm from September 4, 2014 - and to Oslo from September 2, 2014.
