Sep 07, 2023 (newstodate): Two more Dash 8-400 aircraft are lifted off the portfolio of Nordic Aviation Capital.
The regional aircraft lessor has sold four Dash 8-400 aircraft to the UK company Executive Jet Support Ltd., provider of commercial aircraft, engines, and airframe components.
Their ferry flights will, however, be their last take-off; the aircraft will be scrapped for recirculation of engines and components by Executive Jet Support.
The Danish, Ireland-based regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital is thus emptying its stock of Dash 8-400 aircraft.
In August '23, the latest transaction comprised the sale of four Dash 8-400 to Universal Air, based at Malta; in May 2023, the Italian carrier Sky Alps signed a contract for the acquisition of four Dash 8-400 aircraft from NAC's stock, and the Australian carrier Nexus Airlines also took in the first of five Dash 8 Q400 aircraft acquired on a lease contract with NAC.
Earlier in 2023, one Dash 8-400 aircraft was sold to the Polish carrier LOT, while another Dash 8-400 on NAC's stock was sold to Icelandair; in March 2023, NAC also delivered one Dash 8-400 on lease to LAM, the flag carrier of Mozambique with a hub at Maputo International Airport.
NAC's fleet of Dash 8-400 aircraft was last replenished in February 2023 as the Latvian carrier airBaltic completed the planned redelivery of its entire Bombardier Q400 aircraft fleet to NAC.
The fleet comprised 12 units leased from Nordic Aviation Capital under a contract expiring in 2023.
