Sep 22, 2023 (newstodate): It did take half a year - but now Finnair has found its new Head of Global Sales.
   As of September 15, 2023, Anna-Maria Kirchner has taken her seat as head of Finnair Cargo's global sales, leaning on experience from positions including Manager for Global sales and Business development for Emirates 2018-23, and Senior manager for Air Berlin Finland, Iceland & Baltics 2014-18, and with a career starting with various companies from 2007.
   The search for candidates to fill the job started as her predecessor, Mikka Leppanen, surprisingly stepped down in March 2023 after only seven months in the seat.
   Potential applicants then had until the end of March 2023 to file their bids for the job that includes the responsibility for leading and managing the sales team to develop and implement global sales strategies, channel and product development that drive revenue growth for the cargo business.
   Ms Anna-Maria Kirchner will refer to Gabriela Hiitola, Finnair Snr VP Cargo since February 1, 2023.
