Aug 11, 2024 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport continues to report a sustained negative growth in cargo in 2023.
In July 2023, the airport handled 647 tonnes of cargo and mail, a drop by 32.2 percent, y-o-y.
During the first seven months of this year, the airport has thus seen total cargo volumes down by 35 percent, y-o-y, yo 4,263 tonnes.
Until early 2022, Tallinn Airport had been building up a position in the Asia/Europe/US e-freight business - which suffered greatly by the Russian invasion of Ukraine leading to the current closure of airspace and a general economic downturn.
