Aug 16, 2023 (newstodate): The Danish, Ireland-based regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital is emptying its stock of Dash 8-400 aircraft with new sales.
Latest transaction comprises the sale of four Dash 8-400 to the carrier Universal Air, based at Malta.
EASA-certified Universal Air offers a range of services including air cargo and logistics services, aero-medical evacuations, air passenger transport, VIP charters, and aviation management with a fleet of Dash 8-100, Learjet 45 and Bombardier Global Express aircraft.
NAC is thus continuing its sales and placements of the Q400 fleet; in May 2023, the Italian carrier Sky Alps signed a contract for the acquisition of four Dash 8-400 aircraft from NAC's stock, and the Australian carrier Nexus Airlines also took in the first of five Dash 8 Q400 aircraft acquired on a lease contract with NAC.
Earlier in 2023, one Dash 8-400 aircraft was sold to the Polish carrier LOT, while another Dash 8-400 on NAC's stock was sold to Icelandair; in March 2023, NAC also delivered one Dash 8-400 on lease to LAM, the flag carrier of Mozambique with a hub at Maputo International Airport.
