Aug 22, 2023 (newstodate): The oneworld airline alliance is to be enlarged with a new member: the Mongolian carrier MIAT Mongolian Airlines.
   MIAT is already cooperating with oneworld member airlines Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific, but will need one more oneworld member airline to sponsor its entry into the alliance's division for smaller airlines, oneworld Connect.
   If successful, MIAT would become oneworld Connect's only second member, alongside Fiji Airways.
