Aug 22, 2023 (newstodate): The Lithuanian charter and ACMI airline Heston Airlines has now grown its aircraft fleet to 14 aircraft.
   The latest addition, an Airbus A321 aircraft, was delivered in May 2023 and has been placed with its client, the Estonian/German carrier Marabu Airlines that thus now operates three Heston Airlines aircraft.
   This summer, Heston Airlines also at long last obtained its coveted IOSA certification - earlier expected already before the end of last year.
   The certification by IATA will make the carrier fully capable of bidding on any wet-lease and ACMI tender requiring IOSA that is also a prerequisite for serving airline customers with code-share partners.
   Set up in 2020 and landing its AOC on May 21, 2021, Heston Airlines is based at Vilnius Airport with Jonas Rinkauskas as its CEO, and has established a subsidiary in Malta.
