Aug 30, 2023 (newstodate): The Vilnius-based ACMI and charter carrier Avion Express is set to grow its aircraft fleet at a fast rate over the coming few years.
In the fleet now are 50 Airbus A320 aircraft - up from 16 aircraft by the end of 2021.
Today, the fleet of Avion Express comprises 12 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, and its Maltese subsidiary Avion Express Malta with an own Maltese AOC in May 2019 operates another 27 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, making Avion Express a world leader in the narrow-body wet-lease business.
That tally makes up only 39 aircraft - but 11 other Avion Express aircraft are registered with ACMI customers and not included in Avion's own fleet roster.
By the end of next year, Avion Express plans to increase its fleet to 60 aircraft and expects to reach a fleet of 100 aircraft by the end of 2027.
Among the carrier's existing customers are airline including Eurowings, SunExpress, Transavia Netherlands, TUI UK, Flynas, Air Baltic, British Airways Euroflyer, Air Malta, Pegasus
