Aug 30, 2023 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is to return seasonal flight services at its second destination in Lithuania: Palanga Airport, near the Baltic coast.
Starting from from May 29 and until October 23, 2024, airBaltic will offer two weekly rotations on a new route connecting Palanga and Amsterdam where passengers can continue flights on the network of its airline code-share partner KLM.
While airBaltic claims this to become its first service at Palanga, history tells otherwise; already on April 1, 2009, airBaltic launched flights on a new route between Riga, Latvia, and Palanga, served twice daily until 2019.
Also new on airBaltic's S'24 program for Lithuania are two daily rotations connecting Vilnius and Krakow, in Poland, from May 3 to to September 30, 2024.
