Aug 17, 2023 (newstodate): Insolvent for more than five months now, the privately-owned Romanian budget airline Blue Air may see a glimpse of hope.
   According to Romanian media citing the country's State Asset Management Authority, the AAAS President has confirmed to be in talks with a Spanish-Portuguese joint-venture company that has expressed its strong intention to take over Blue Air.
   -We are in an early phase, but I can say that they were very persistent, the AAAS President Daniel Geanta said.
    Blue Air was forced to suspend operations from September 6, 2022, in a spat over financial issues with the Rumanian government and regulators that have frozen the carrier's assets.
   On September 30, 2022, the airline removed its entire route network from sale, and shortly after all six of the airline's Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft were relocated to LOT Polish Airlines by their lessor.
   Similarly, two other aircraft, one Boeing 737-700NG and one Boeing 737-800NG, were transferred at the beginning of October 2022 from Blue Air to the Romanian carrier HelloJets, while Blue Air's other aircraft remain grounded at various airports in- and outside the country.  
   Blue Air made its debut in Scandinavia on June 4, 2016, with three weekly flights to Stockholm, Sweden, adding flights from June 2, 2017, from Bucharest to Copenhagen, Denmark, with three weekly rotations using Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
   Norway's Oslo Airport got its first-ever direct connection to Romania as Blue Air took off on the first flight on the route from Bucharest to Oslo on June 15, 2017, also offering three weekly rotation with Boeing 737 aircraft.
