Aug 09, 2023 (newstodate): With the handling of a total of 14,072 tonnes of cargo and mail in July 2023, Helsinki Airport was still seeing volumes up on last year - but at a slow pace.
   The increase was 2.1 percent, y-o-y, after a growth by 12.4 percent in the preceding month when a total of 15,286 tonnes was handled at the airport.
   In July, the airport handled 13,627 tonnes of international cargo. This was a modest increase by 2.2 percent, y-o-y, but slightly over last month's volume that showed an increase by 13.5 percent, y-o-y.
   During January-July 2023, the airport has thus handled a total of 98,711 tonnes of cargo - down on the same period in 2022 by 4.9 percent, indicating a steady monthly improvement compared to the six percent low, y-o-y, in H1/2023.
