Aug 22, 2023 (newstodate): Armenia's new national carrier Fly Arna has become the country's first airline to achieve IOSA certification.
   With a fleet of three Airbus A320 aircraft, Fly Arna is now operating flights to destinations in Georgia, Iraq, Kuwait, Russia, and from July 11, 2023, to Tehran.
   Managed by Antony Price as CEO, Fly Arna was established by a JV announced in July 2021 between the Armenian National Interests Fund and the Sharjah-based Air Arabia Group, with one Airbus A320 aircraft in the fleet performing its first commercial flight on July 3, 2022.
    Happily for Fly Arna, the carrier took delivery of its second Airbus A320 only on September 22, 2022 - just in time for benefiting from the lucrative market to carry Russian passengers on presumably one-way tickets from Moscow and Sochi to Georgia...
