Aug 03, 2023 (newstodate): Like a never-ending story, British Airways is to make a fresh attempt on flights to Riga Airport, Latvia.
Starting from October 29, 2023, the carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route from London Heathrow Airport.
British Airways last served the route Riga-London for ten years, from April 1, 1997, till March 24, 2007.
After a long hiatus, the route was scheduled to reappear from July 2, 2021, with three weekly flights operating till September 26.
However, BA got second thoughts already before the opening, deciding instead to serve the London-Riga connection indirectly in cooperation with airBaltic and Finnair.
British Airways then aired intentions in late 2022 to put Riga on its monitor, intending to offer three weekly rotations from July 2 till September 26, 2023 - which was never realized...
