Aug 31, 2023 (newstodate): Avinor is determined to bolster, and even expand, the position of Oslo Airport as an important Nordic air cargo hub, appointing its first dedicated Cargo Director: Eva Beate Lande.
Taking up the position on October 1, 2023, Ms Lande joins Avinor from over seven years at World Courier, since 2020 serving as Business Development Manager.
At Avinor, she will be part of the Traffic Development department, where she, along with a team of four people, will oversee the operation and development of cargo at Avinor.
Together with industry stakeholders, Avinor is pursuing a long-term - and highly ambitious - goal to develop Oslo Airport as a Nordic hub for cargo.
In June, Oslo Seafood & Cargo Center inaugurated its new cold storage facility at Oslo Airport, and later this autumn Oslo Airport City will open its World Seafood Center for cold storage and processing of fresh fish.
