Aug 04, 2023 (newstodate): The Nordic ground handling provider Aviator Airport Alliance has secured another renewal of its contract with longtime customer Air Montenegro.
The contract now extended for another two years concerns the airline's operations at Copenhagen Airport, where Air Montenegro is online with two weekly flights from Podgorica during the summer schedule.
The predecessor to Air Montenegro, Montenegro Airlines was serving flights to Copenhagen from Podgorica from May 1, 2010, with up to three weekly rotations, but pulled out again after a few years.
Montenegro Airlines then returned again from summer 2018 offering one weekly rotation on the route between Tivat and Copenhagen, with Embraer 195 aircraft.
The carrier was planning for resumption of services from Mid-August 2020, with two weekly rotations using Embraer E195 aircraft - which did not materialize as the Covid-19 struck, and the airline was grounded.
Aviator has been ground handling services provider to Montenegro Airlines and Air Montenegro from the start of flights to Copenhagen.
